Removing Wheels

Today, I decided it was a good idea to start small and remove one of the wheels for inspection. Overall, that took me a decent 10 minutes with the proper tools and toolbox now for the job. Removing the wheel revealed the scored outer tie rod rubbing onto the tire, showing damage to both parts.

Taking off the wheel also revealed all of the caked-on dirt and mud that has to be removed in order to continue. We can also see some brake pad rusting, and it appears that the other side could be seized. Overall, having a good inspection to look at some parts was a good idea, as I needed to know how bad the damage was to the tie rod. It does look like it can go a bit longer, but sooner or later, it will need to be readjusted and replaced, as well as the tire.
