Polaris Project
Polaris Project
Hello and welcome to the Polaris Project. This is my 2011 Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. It has a 498cc one-cylinder OHV carbureted engine making 41 HP with a CVT belt-driven transmission. Overall, they pair well together, handling trails at high speed and maintaining good road performance.
This vehicle has had a number of problems over its life. Due to a fuel pump failure, it has been parked since 2023 and has not moved for almost two years. Now, with me having a new vehicle and the Tahoe out of commission for the time being, I believe it's time to focus on a new project for 2025 so it can be ready for mudding and towing in the summertime.
